Fiaker Schorsch - The Coachman at Eden’s Door
Fiaker Schorsch (Georg Vierthaler), farmer and coachman, is a living legend in the region around the alpine village of Filzmoos in Austria. People call him extraordinary and he stands out. You can either hear him yodeling and singing from afar, or you can see him with his trademark hat, decorated with flowers. Underneath is a person with a special love for humans, animals and nature, which finds expression in his poetic verses. He calls his surroundings “Garden Eden” and visitors seem to be drawn there, back to the paradise, like Adam and Eve returning home.
During his daily carriage rides it is fun to observe his interactions with the guests. Most of them say that they feel something, joy, self-awareness, love to nature and to their fellow men. Fiaker Schorsch has a kind of power to spread naturalness, humour and wisdom. “I often feel people more on the inside than on the outside. I really don’t want to do anything else than to open the door to the soul. When a person laughs, it is a liberation and then they open up.”
The short time they spend with Schorsch makes people think about their lives, about the artificial gap between them and nature, which the modern way of living can create. But at the same time they're laughing like children and feeling very much on the ground, connected with the moment.

After graduating in social pedagogy, Gerald Schank starts an
apprenticeship as camera assistant and sound technician in 1986. His
first work as freelance cinematographer was in 1993 a documentary on
Brazilian street kids for German Television (WDR). The years to come took
him to more than 50 countries for cinematographic work on films, such
as the award winning short film "Snipers Alley" (2001) and cinema feature
film "Mörderischer Frieden" (Lethal Peace, 2007), an anti-war drama
filmed in Sarajevo (BiH).
In 1999 he founded the production company Fresh.Frames in Cologne
and has been producing for tv and advertising agencies ever since. In
2019 he is receiving numerous awards and recognitions with his documentary feature film debut
“One World - The Ocean of Presence", together with Co-Director Slavica Martinovic.
Slavica Martinovic is a Psychologist, she completed her MA in 2010 at the University of Zagreb. In 2016 she obtained “Autogenic Training Educator” certificate by Prof. Dr. Vladimir Gruden and became a Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) in 2017.
Her ever-growing interest in human psyche and spirituality led her to film work and interviewing people of various cultures and backgrounds. Working on the film “One World - The Ocean of Presence” as Co-Director allowed her to speak to people from more than 30 countries about their innermost experiences.
Postproduction is for her an especially inspiring stage of the filmmaking process, where she can see and feel how the story comes together. As a Production Coordinator, she is experienced in managing and communicating workflow priorities of numerous film projects.
