Living With Buildings is a live screening event that explore themes of people, poetry and place.

We’re open to work across the short/poetry-film/experimental/documentary strands of film-making.

Past work has focussed on how we move through streets, the decline of social housing and the rise gentrification, roads to nowhere, and the space in between.

LIVING WITH BUILDINGS is brought to you by the Disappear Here poetry film project.

Rooted in the UK city of Coventry, famed for its iconic ringroad and modernist architecture and reinvention as a city rising from the ashes and ruins of arial bombing in World War Two – we are happy to consider work from citizens all around the world.

Rules & Terms

Please submit one film only – we accept work up to 10 minutes in length but are keen to see shorter pieces – we find 3 mins is the ideal length for engaging audiences

FILE SPECS

-MP4 video is our preferred format
-please make download available on FilmFreeway - or through WeTransfer link
- we will consider longer documentary work - but please enquire first.
-We prefer subtitles to be embedded for all films
-please include a closing title / credits / social links / film background somewhere in your film - start/end

    Thank you for including LDN 51.5072N 0.1276W in the film festival; I wish I could have attended.
    Adam was incredibly attentive and timely in responding to all of my emails, which gave me a sense of security, and I'm sure the festival is conducted with the same care. I recommend everyone to enter.
    The only thing I wish they would do is update their website so that I can find out which films are screening there and connect with the filmmakers even if I can't go. Thank you once again. :)

    Very good communication from the festival. If your film is congruent with the festival's theme, this is a great way to find an audience that will appreciate your film. I wish I had been able to attend, but I was not in the country at that time.
