Luleå International Film Festival is a monthly and annual film event, and it is the first appropriate film festival of its kind in the beautiful city of Luleå, Sweden.

The aim is to promote and encourage short, feature, and documentary films from across the world by allowing them to showcase themselves in the beautiful and unique Nordic city of Luleå, Sweden.

Monthly films will be reviewed and judged by our jury.

Our monthly winners will have the possibility of screening and question-answer sessions with the festival audience at our annual event in September 2025.

Luleå International Film Festival has successfully entered into its 6th successive year.

Awards & Prizes

Monthly Winners of each category will receive a free Laurel and digital certificate, the digital certificates will be sent to each monthly winner via email after the completion of our annual event.

The winners will be awarded a special trophy during the annual event.

Eligibility!
We accept all types of films...

Subtitles!
If the film is not in English, it must have English subtitles,
Swedish films don't require English subtitles. but shall be even better if it has English subtitles. submission fees are nonrefundable.
Submission fees is not refundable.

    The Hidden Cost of The Uniform was selected and later awarded as a finalist. The entire experience felt professional and encouraging. Communication from the team was consistently clear and supportive.

    The festival showcases a range of international work and creates a space where emerging voices feel genuinely valued. I would happily submit again and recommend that other filmmakers share their films with this excellent festival.
