The DFF believes in the power of film production and our main purpose is to promote Kentucky films and celebrate Kentucky Filmmakers. We hope that young and old independent filmmakers will be inspired to create their own pieces of art, network with like minded people, and utilize the vast scenery that we are blessed with right in our back yard. We plan to grow the event each year and eventually expand to a 3 day festival. We believe this will promote local tourism, and help grow local business.
The 1st Annual Dogslaughter Film Festival will feature the festival premiere of Moonbow, a 7-10 minute short film festival online competition, the 1st and 2nd place films will be shown at the festival, an awards ceremony for the film competition, a live concert with original music by Erica Olson and Darron Stugil, and exclusive offers from Country Boy Brewing and Rolling Oven Pizza Food Truck!

Best Picture 7-10 short film winner will receive a $250 gift card to Murphy's Camera in Lexington, KY and a chance to be an intern in Moonbow Productions next feature film this summer.
Best Director 7-10 short film
Best Actor 7-10 short film

The 7-10 minute short film competition winners will be selected online at Moonbow Movie's Youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBSW4dvQf3dDGdYmNyMfIQ.

All forms and genres will be accepted. We also accept submissions that have premiered elsewhere and that may have distribution agreements already in place. Rough cuts and incomplete projects are not accepted. Multiple entries are allowed, however a separate entry form must be submitted for each. The 1st and 2nd place films will be shown live at the Dogslaughter Film Festival. In the event of an online tie, the winner will be selected live by the 7 main cast members of Moonbow.

Didn't get any information or whatsoever of this festival, you would say that when you are selected for a festival, you get an overview of what is going to happen etc.
