Beirut Shorts International Film Festival, an Academy Awards (OSCARS) qualifying film festival, is the most prominent short film festival in the Arab world. Founded in 2007, and organized annually by the Beirut Film Society, the festival has grown to be a significant platform under the constant theme, "The Power of Youth."
