Now in it's fifth year, the Festive Film Festival has become a holiday favorite among audiences in Portland, Oregon. One night only in mid-late December, the festival screens 2 hours of Holiday-themed films.

Awards & Prizes

The audience in attendance at the festival chooses their favorite film and what they pick is presented the Audience Award.

Festival Directors and Producers pick their favorite and it is presented as the "Golden Fruitcake Award".

We award certificates the same night or mail to filmmakers who aren't in attendance.

Rules & Terms

1.Films can be in any language but must include English subtitles.
2. Films must be under 20 minutes long.
3. Films must have been completed in the last 10 years.
4. Films must have a Holiday (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, Chinese New Year, Festivus, New Year's, Winter Solstice, etc.) or winter theme.
5. Submit your film exclusively via FilmFreeway using a vimeo or youtube link.
Upon submission you agree to allow Festive Film Festival to screen your film (if accepted) at our festival and use stills and promotional materials as we see fit.

    Had a great time at the Festive Film Festival! The venue was perfect and the selected videos were fantastic. The crowd turnout was a bit low, but not too shabby. Met a couple of interesting filmmakers and had a lot of fun!

    We were so honored that "Home Invasion for the Holidays" won the audience award at Festive Film Festival! We were not able to be there in person, but there was great communication and it seemed like a fun event.
