Animex Awards 2017 - CALL FOR ENTRIES!

Animex Awards once again invites you to enter your work, open to any style genre and technique of animation.

Animex Awards is an international competition focusing on student animations, which is part of the 'Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games' held in May 2017, the largest festival dedicated to animation and computer games in the UK.

This edition for 2017 is also inviting entries of professional animation. Both professional and student animations are eligible to compete for awards. The short-listed and selected animations will screen in an extended programme of student and professional animations under the banner of Animex Screen & Awards.

Entry deadline: you can submit animations until 22nd March 2017.
Waiver codes are available after this date upon request.

From visual effects to stop-motion to animation for computer games, from drawing to CGI, Animex Awards 2017 aims to celebrate the art of animation, reward the talent of student animations worldwide and recognise cutting edge professional animation.

In 2016 we received a record number of over 1,200 entries from more than 80 countries. Judging panels from previous awards have included representatives from Walt Disney Animation Studios, LAIKA, ToonBoom Animation, Beryl Productions International, Atomhawk Design, Pixar, ILM, Disney, Aardman Animation, Sony Image Works, DreamWorks and Electronic Arts, to name a few. Judges and pre-selectors also include a team of animation academics, animation professionals and a team of students

We have simplified the submission process - all work must be submitted using FilmFreeway.

For submissions to the student categories, please select one STUDENT category you wish to enter your animation to. Submission can be made by the student or by the animation school. All student animations entered may also be considered for the other categories than you have submitted to but you need to submit your film to just one category.

For submissions of professional animations, please select the PROFESSIONAL Animations - open categories. All animations entered in this section are considered for the professional award categories.
