Director Biography - Vladimir Seixas

With experience in documentary, Vladimir Seixas had his films screened and awarded in festivals in Brazil and worldwide, such as the nomination for the International Emmy and the award for Best Documentary Feature at the Rio Int’l Film Festival. Currently, he is dedicating himself to the release of his first short fiction film, "End of the Night", and writing the fiction feature film.

Director Statement

The team is made up of black, indigenous, gay, queers people in top positions, eager to release the film! The short stars a talented indigenous Amazonian actress. The post-apocalyptic plot is an allegory about the situation of the indigenous people in recent years in the Amazon, filmed in the context of Bolsonaro's reactionary government, when many forest peoples have been affected by his actions and at the juncture of the Covid pandemic.
