Eclipse
A little girl and her grandmother set out to witness the event of the century: a total eclipse of the sun. All the precautionary measures are few to observe it, but the background of the story goes further because, sometimes, the mind is also eclipsed by a horrible disease which can erase all its memories.
"Eclipse" is an independent low budget short film about the first symptoms of the Alzheimer's disease represented through the relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter, with a total eclipse of the sun as a symbolic core of the story.

Santi Planet is PhD in Information and Communication Technologies and Telecommunication Engineer. When he was young, he used to write short stories for the magazine of his school and, trying to put them into images, he learnt analogic photography techniques and used an old Super8 camera to start in the world of cinema. After experimenting with VHS recordings, in the digital era, he developed several short films becoming specialist in low budget films recorded in a short period of time. He has participated in several film contests, most of them express, with short films that, after that, were selected in national and international festivals.
Eclipse is a short film dedicated to my parents. Alzheimer's illness is not named in the film because it wants to talk about neurodegenerative illnesses in general but, the most important point is the underlying message: no matter what is going to happen, I will be here, with you, along all the way.
