Double Sided

Double Sided is a short film which, with its images, intercepts some aspects in which nature shows its contradictions, its authenticity and its bitter desolation.
In the first part, the visual and sensory experience tells of a perfect balance between all the elements that compose it, a harmony of sounds and colours.
In the second part, the images focus on a strip of ancient land. The centuries-old plantations of olive trees, in that part of the heel of Italy, the Salento, whose spectacularity has turned into spectrality.
The "double - sided" of this postcard calls into question the human being as an active part of a tiring but vital journey. His will and his responsibilities can contribute to the custody of an invaluable asset or, conversely, participate in its dissolution.

Director Biography - Antonio Maria Cortese

Antonio Maria Cortese is a film producer who works in both television and cinema. Since the early 2000s he has contributed to the creation of television programs for the Rai Sat and Sky Italia schedules. From 2008 to 2010 as director of the television production company Eurodigital, he was organizer of the satellite channel "Salute" in collaboration with Sky and Rai International distributed on the Sky platform (channel 484 for subscribers) for Italy and the rest of the world by Rai International. Since 2016 he has produced 2 films with the Golden Hour Films company in collaboration with Rai Cinema. The first work entitled “Ho Amici In Paradiso” distributed by Golden Hour Films itself, by Rai and by Adler & Associates Entertainment inc. in Los Angeles for international distribution and currently visible on Rai Play and Amazon Prime. The second film in 2018 entitled "Free" distributed by Rai and Amazon Prime and visible on Rai Play. Since 2019, in addition to following projects aimed at the production of feature films and short films, he has created videos and 3D graphics for every type of need, from documentaries to contributions for films or advertising under the nickname AMC COPYRIGHT. In 2023 he collaborates with the Reset Production company in the preparation phase of the film "Amici Per Caso" distributed by Adler Entertainment Italia and visible on the Amazon and Paramount platforms. His passion is experimental short films. An episode lasting a maximum of 8 minutes of only images capable of transmitting a message or thought without any dialogue. Among these “Dance Under The Sea” and “Nearby Planet” entirely dedicated to the underwater world and currently streaming on the American platform Pixquid.
