Director Statement

Doppelgänger, Inc. is a sci fi short film, and its main theme is the loss of individuality. My motivación is create a strong story about how social power is capable of changing a person who does not function inside a group.

My idea is to present society as a mechanism, and that human beings are gears, and when a piece does not perform its work as it should, then simply looking for another to keep the machine running.

This short film is a criticism of the time that we are living. Over time, little by little people are losing the sense of individuality and we find a world that is forgetting the true meaning of life. Man begins to become mechanical, materialistic and routine beings.

In our society, human beings are losing their sense of things, letting themselves fall into the routine. Many times this loss of autonomy is generated by social groups that demand a prototype of a person to be able to achieve acceptance and become machines that must be subjected to society's demands.
