Übermensch Prophecy: The Legend of Greater Iskender

A documentary film crew follows İskender, who was proclaimed as the chosen one according to a prophecy by Nostradamus. İskender attemps to break world records as Rolling an orange with his nose, Most eggs crushed with the head, etc. Unfortunately he fails again and again. His failure makes him stopped thinking logically. And he decided to break the world record for longest love making.
The question is; is he really the chosen one? Let's assume he is, was he chosen for the world records he's trying to break? Or is he special in some other way?

Director Biography - Emre Aluç

Emre Aluç is an Istanbul-based director who likes telling weird but funny stories that engages with real life.

He studied economics and sociology, started his career as a part-time cartoonist, working for comic magazines. He has been writing stage plays, TV and film scripts since 2005. The Übermensch Prophecy or The Inevitable Disavowal of Greater Iskender is his debut feature.

Director Statement

I produced this feature film with many real people from the streets of Istanbul. The main aim of the movie is to observe a person's inner conflict through the perspective of a small town in the modern society where success is the only standard for happiness.
