Nicholas, a British filmmaker with Danish and Serbian roots, brings a distinctive global perspective to his work. His films are characterized by their strong thematic anchors, propelled by a keen sense of pacing and gripping narrative hooks.
His 2023 writer-director debut, CURTAIN CALL, garnered critical acclaim, premiering at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and securing distribution through WeShort, a streaming platform partnered with the Sundance Institute. Nicholas is now collaborating again with producers Allegra Venturi and Jozef Kaut (CURTAIN CALL), and executive producer Lloyd Levin (BOOGIE NIGHTS, WATCHMEN, DA 5 BLOODS) on his upcoming short film, EUREKA.
With a background in literature, Nicholas's visual storytelling is further enhanced by his experience at Shadowplay Features, where he worked alongside Lloyd Levin on screenplay development and investor proposals. He has also honed his industry acumen by evaluating screenplays for commercial and creative potential at various film markets, including Cannes, and gained valuable insights during his time at Icon Film Distribution. Nicholas is currently developing a series with Oscar-nominated screenwriter Menno Meyjes (THE COLOR PURPLE, MAX, INSIDE MAN), signifying his continued evolution as a storyteller.
A satirical take on relevant themes revolving around universal insecurities, self-confidence and piecing together what it means to be yourself.
