CJ is a Melbourne based film producer and researcher in the fields of distribution and piracy. He was awarded VCA’s Producer of the Year 2016 and had three films selected for the St Kilda Film Festival Australia’s Top 100 in 2017. His film Creating a Monster was officially selected at Byron Bay Film Festival and subsequently was distributed by Ronin Films. In 2018 his film Feast on the Young was officially selected at Fantastic Fest, Dances with Films, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Monster Fest where it took out Best Victorian Short.
In 2018 he Co-Produced his first feature, a micro-budget film titled Disclosure, which premiered at the 2020 Palm Springs International Film Festival. In 2020 his short film Fun Times was selected for Perth Revelation Fest, his short film Guppy won the grand jury prize at Tokyo Short Shorts and his short film The Fall was selected for Outshine LGBTQA+ Film Festival.
He is currently developing a feature narrative drama, several digital series concepts and completing a Master of Fine Art (Research) in film distribution and piracy. He is also the Screen Production Coordinator at the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Fine Arts and Music - VCA Film & Television.
Prior to this his background is in mixed media, producing original online content tailored to niche audiences, such as a Facebook live show and a briefly successful YouTube channel. He loves high concept drama and genre and his goal is to develop Film and TV concepts in Australia that play to international audiences.
