The Chalachitra International Film Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates the magic of cinema on a global scale. It brings together filmmakers, actors, and cinephiles from all corners of the world to honor outstanding achievements in the realm of motion pictures. The awards are a testament to the power of storytelling through the lens and the artistry that transcends boundaries and languages.

It focuses on celebrating Film Makers and Creators around the world, who take a risk and do experiments in Film Making. Each year, we hold a screening for our hand-selected jury members, made up of industry personnel and film fans, where we showcase some of that year's nominated films. After the screening is over, the jury members vote to decide the winners. We accept all the films irrespective of their Length and Genre!

Awards & Prizes

What we offer -

1. All selected films will be screened on our website. Yearly public screening.

2. Every Official Selection will receive the Official Laurel of Chalachitra International Film Awards.

3. We provide certificates and laurels to the finalist and winners which highlights their achievement.

Rules & Terms

A) Eligibility Requirements
1. We accept films of all genres.
2. Short feature films that are available for public online viewing are eligible
3. Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted. A separate submission and a separate entry fee must accompany each entry.
4. The films should have subtitles in English. Dialogue lists are not accepted.

B) Judging & Selection
If a film is selected, the Festival office will contact the entrant by email. The Festival does not provide feedback or screening notes to entries that are not selected. Selected films cannot be withdrawn by the filmmakers. The decision of the selection committees and jury is final.

C) Entry Fees
Each entry must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee. Entry fees are not refundable. We provide 35% discount code. If you share more than one project the discount code is 45% (Disclaimer: If you use 45% discount for one project without our knowledge the project will be disqualified from our end and there won't be any refund for that. We won't tolerate such behavior)

D) Permission
All entries selected, grant Chalachitra International Film Awards the right to use any footage from the preview screener and all submitted publicity photos and any other materials set to us pertaining to this entry for Chalachitra International Film Awards's promotional purposes, without limitations.

E) Certificates are given after a week of event ends.

    Chalachitra International Film Awards is a festival that genuinely celebrates global storytelling and diverse narrative voices. From submission through notification, the process was smooth, respectful, and thoughtfully organized, reflecting a clear commitment to recognizing meaningful work from creators around the world.
    Receiving an Award Winner distinction for Pretty Little Lucy in the Best Feature Screenplay (Main Category) was both humbling and deeply encouraging. CIFFโ€™s recognition reinforced the idea that emotionally driven, psychologically layered stories can resonate across borders and cultures.
