Behind the Mic offers a compelling look at the career of actor and voiceover artist Arvie Lowe Jr., while spotlighting the voices and experiences of other Black voiceover actors in Hollywood. The film features candid reflections from Lowe's close friend and acclaimed voiceover talent Ogie Banks III, as well as seasoned performer Hillary Hawkins, who shares her perspective as a Black actor navigating the industry. Through personal stories, career milestones, and hard-won insights, Behind the Mic explores representation, resilience, and the ongoing challenges and triumphs of being a Black artist in Hollywood.

Amber Mitchell is a Producer and Creative Video Editor from St. Louis, Missouri, whose work draws inspiration from the vibrant colors and rhythms of life.
Amber’s industry experience includes working as a Personal Assistant to comedian Damon Wayans, a Creative Marketing Intern at Bravo, where several of her promos made it to air, and recently as a Digital Content Intern at Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY.
Deji Emmanuel is a Los Angeles based director and cinematographer originally from Houston, Texas. With years of experience behind the camera and a deep passion for storytelling, Deji’s work explores the resilience of the human spirit. The beauty in being broken and rebuilt. He continues to refine his voice as a filmmaker who champions the stories of the underdog.
As the founder of Sky Shield Productions LLC, Deji approaches every project with a spirit of collaboration, seeking truth and authenticity in every frame. His films aim not just to entertain, but to remind audiences that even through struggle, there is strength, purpose, and light.
