She wrote, directed, and casted the film and launched her own all Black performing arts company, Art Noir Productions, now a registered 501(c)3. Art Noir opened at the 2023 San Antonio Black International Film Festival honoring Phylicia Rashad and Debbie Allen. Devon just wrapped the film, Dovey’s Promise, where she played the emotional supporting role of Martha Crump. She is the owner and lead vocalist of DevSoul, her band of 16 years. DevSoul has opened and sang live background vocals for Jagged Edge, Dwele, Eric Roberson, Carl Thomas, Chico DeBarge, Next, Brian Angel of Day 26, and more. The DevSoul debut single, Hot Coffee, is now streaming on all major digital platforms.
I am overwhelmed by the support and encouragement on this side of the camera. I never knew I’d enjoy this so much. This is only the beginning. Look for me. Thank you so much.
