REGLAMENTO
1. CONDICIONES GENERALES
BITBANG 2026 abre su convocatoria para presentar obras de animación en las tres categorías en competencia comprendidas en el certamen.
RULES
1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BITBANG 2026 opens its call for submissions of animation work in the 3 competing categories included in the contest.
1.1 Podrán participar personas físicas o jurídicas en forma individual o colectiva, mayores de 18 años, de cualquier nacionalidad, mediante el envío de trabajos de animación que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos en estas bases y los estándares técnicos que permitan su futura exhibición.
1.1 Participants can apply either in an individual basis or as a team; must be at least 18
years old and of any nationality. Submitted works must be done under this guideline and
following the technical requirements demanded for their future exhibition.
1.2 La participación en las competencias es gratuita para Latinoamérica en Early Deadline (15 de abril) y Regular Deadline (10 de junio); Late Deadline (30 de junio) tiene un costo de 5 USD. El costo de participación para Cortos Internacionales y Cortos Internacionales de Graduación es de: 10 USD (Early Deadline: 15 de abril) / 14 USD (Regular Deadline: 10 de junio) / 18 USD (Late Deadline: 30 de junio)
1.2 Participation is free of charge for Latin America for Early Deadline (April 15th) and Regular Deadline (June 10th); the cost for Late Deadline (June 30th) is 5 USD. The cost for the participation for International Short Films and International Graduation Short Films are: 10 USD (Early Deadline: April 15th) / 14 USD (Regular Deadline: June 10th) / 18 USD (Late Deadline: June 30th)
1.3 La convocatoria está abierta para obras en todo tipo de técnicas de animación, que hayan sido terminadas a partir del 1 de enero del año 2025.
1.3 Submission is open for any animation technique artwork released after January 1st 2025.
1.4 La duración de los cortos no debe exceder los 25 minutos.
1.4 The duration of the short films should not exceed 25 minutes.
1.5 Todos los géneros son aceptados, incluyendo documental. Las películas deben estar animadas. Las obras híbridas están permitidas, si la animación constituye más del 75% del corto.
1.5 Any genre is accepted, including documentary. The films must be animated. Hybrid projects are allowed, provided that animation constitutes more than 75% of the short film.
1.6 Técnicas de Animación: Las inscripciones están abiertas a cualquier técnica de animación.

2.1 Se recibe la postulación de obras para todas las categorías en competencia desde el 17 de marzo de 2026 hasta el 30 de junio de 2026.

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes internacionales.
Esta categoría entrega al ganador Premio al Mejor Cortometraje de Animación Internacional.
3.1 International Animated Short Film Competition
Official selection oriented to the exhibition of International Animated Short Films.
This category gives the winner the award to Best International Animated Short Film.
3.2 Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados (incluye Argentina)
Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes latinoamericanos, incluyendo Argentina.
Esta categoría entrega al ganador Premio al Mejor Cortometraje de Animación Latinoamericano.
3.2 Latin American Animated Short Film Competition (Including Argentina)
Competition aimed at exhibiting Latin American Animated Short Films, including Argentina.
This category gives the winner the award to Best Latin American Animated Short Film.
3.3 Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes de Escuela (incluye Argentina)
Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes latinoamericanos (incluyendo Argentina) de animación realizados dentro del marco institucional de Escuelas, Universidades o Instituciones profesionales.
Esta categoría entrega al ganador Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Animado de Escuela Latinoamericano.
3.3 Latin American Animated School Short Film Competition
Competition aimed at exhibiting International Animated Short Films made within the institutional framework of Schools, Universities or Professional Institutions.
This category gives the winner the award to Best Latin American Animated School Short Films.
3.4 Animación Latinoamericana realizada para infancias (6 a 12 años - incluye Argentina)
Películas independientes o por encargo que fueron producidas, distribuidas y destinadas específicamente a públicos de entre 6 y 12 años.
Por favor, tener en cuenta que solo un episodio por serie es elegible y debe tener una duración inferior a 25 minutos.
3.4 Latin American Animation Made for Young Audiences (6 - 12 years - including Argentina)
Independent or commissioned films that are produced, distributed, and intended specifically for audiences aged 6-12.
Please note only one episode per series is eligible and should be limited to under 25 minutes.
3.5 Animación Internacional realizada para infancias (6 a 12 años)
Películas independientes o por encargo que fueron producidas, distribuidas y destinadas específicamente a públicos de entre 6 y 12 años.
Por favor, tener en cuenta que solo un episodio por serie es elegible y debe tener una duración inferior a 25 minutos.
3.5 International Animation Made for Young Audiences (6 - 12 years)
Independent or commissioned films that are produced, distributed, and intended specifically for audiences aged 6-12.
Please note only one episode per series is eligible and should be limited to under 25 minutes.
4. INSCRIPCIÓN, ENVÍO Y SELECCIÓN DE OBRAS
4. REGISTRATION, SUBMISSION AND SELECTION OF ARTWORK
4.1 El proceso cuenta con la Plataforma de postulación FilmFreeway (www.FilmFreeway/BITBANG) para la inscripción de las obras para participar de la preselección.
4.1 The artwork can be registered through the Application Platform FilmFreeway
( www.FilmFreeway/bitbangfest ) during the subsmission process.
4.2 Las obras recibidas para postular a las competencias serán sometidas a un proceso de Preselección realizado por el Comité Curatorial del Festival. La decisión del comité curatorial es inapelable.
4.2 Entries submitted will be evaluated by the Festival Committee who will judge and determine which entries will participate in each category. The committee's decision is final and not subjected to appeal.
4.3 La inscripción de una obra en la presente convocatoria supone la total aceptación de estas bases. Al enviar una obra para ser considerada en alguna de las categorías en competencia, el postulante declara ser titular de todos los derechos de autor sobre la Obra y/o tener poder para autorizar la comunicación pública de la obra durante el período del festival en territorio argentino.
El firmante de la postulación declara además, que en el caso que su proyecto comprometa, afecte o incluya la utilización total o parcial de obras protegidas por la legislación nacional o internacional sobre Propiedad Intelectual, y cuyos titulares de derecho de autor sean personas distintas del postulante del proyecto, cuenta con la autorización expresa de dicha obra dada por el titular del derecho de autor, cumpliendo con las formalidades indicadas en las presentes bases. Entiéndase por autorización, como el permiso otorgado por el titular del derecho de autor en cualquier forma contractual, para utilizar la obra de algunos de los modos y por algunos de los medios que la legislación sobre propiedad intelectual establece. El postulante se hace responsable de cualquier infracción de dichos derechos y está obligado a defender y dejar indemne a la organización del Festival en los reclamos presentados por terceros al efecto.
4.3 By entering the contest and submitting artwork, participants agree to abide by the Rules of the Festival. Furthermore, the participants confirm that they own the rights to the work submitted and that they authorize its exhibition at the Festival, which will be held in Buenos Aires. The participant also confirms that he or she has received full explicit authorization from the owner(s) of any copyrighted elements not in their property appearing either fully or in part on their artwork submitted that fall under Intellectual Property Protection, either National or International Law. Additionally, the participant agrees that any situation arising from the use of Intellectual Property of a third party fully conforms to the terms and conditions on this document.
“Authorization of use of a copyrighted work” shall be understood as permission given by the author or copyright holder of said copyrighted work in any contractual form for the use of the copyrighted work according to the terms established by Intellectual Property Law.
4.4 La organización del Festival se reserva el derecho de tomar las decisiones que estime pertinentes respecto de situaciones no previstas expresamente en estas bases.
4.4 The organization of the Festival reserves the right to make the decisions it deems pertinent regarding situations not expressly provided for in these rules
5. JURADO
5. JURY
5.1 El jurado estará conformado por profesionales del ámbito de la animación, tales como realizadores, productores, gestores culturales, periodistas y miembros de entidades nacionales e internacionales asociadas al evento.
5.1 The Jury shall be composed of professionals from multiple areas of the field of animation, including filmmakers, producers, cultural managers, journalists, directors and members of national and international entities associated with the Festival.
5.2 Estarán inhabilitados de formar parte del jurado personas directamente relacionadas con las obras en competencia en su categoría.
5.2 Individuals directly related to any of the participant entries shall be disqualified from being part of the Jury.
5.3 La decisión del jurado es inapelable.
5.3 The Jury's decision is final and not subjected to appeal.
6. SELECCIÓN OFICIAL
6. OFFICIAL SELECTION
6.1 La Selección Oficial será publicada en el sitio web www.bitbangclub.com y se notificará mediante correo electrónico.
6.1 Official selection will be published on the website www.bitbangclub.com and will be notified by email.
6.2 Al postular las obras seleccionadas autorizan el uso de trailers o extractos de la obra (suministrados por el representante de los trabajos seleccionados), para efectuar la promoción de la Competencia Oficial del Festival.
6.2 When submitting the selected artwork, participants authorize the use of trailers or extracts of the work (supplied by the representative of the selected items), to carry out the promotion of the Official Competition of the Festival.
6.3 Los trabajos que formen parte de la Selección Oficial recibirán laureles de Selección Oficial BITBANG.
6.3 The artwork that becomes part of the Official Selection will receive the recognition as such by the BITBANG.
6.4 Los trabajos seleccionados serán notificados por correo electrónico, instancia en la que se entregarán las instrucciones respecto a los formatos, plazos, lugar y forma de envío de las obras seleccionadas para su exhibición a público durante los días del festival.
6.4 Finalists will be notified by email, where they shall receive the formal instructions regarding the formats, deadlines, place and manner of sending the selected artwork for public display during the days of the festival.
6.5 La entrega del material final se deberá hacer dentro de los plazos estipulados, de lo contrario el trabajo quedará descalificado.
6.5 The final material must be delivered within the stipulated deadlines, otherwise the work will be disqualified .
6.6 La versión final, de encontrarse en idioma distinto al español, deberá ser enviada junto a sus respectivos subtítulos en español (o en su defecto inglés). Los subtítulos deben ser entregados en forma separada del video: en archivo de texto o formato de subtítulo (Ej: *.srt)
6.6 The final version, if it is in a language other than Spanish, must be sent together with its respective subtitles in Spanish (or if failing, in English). Subtitles must be delivered separately from the video: in text file or subtitle format (Ex: * .srt)
6.7 Para los realizadores seleccionados el Festival no cubrirá costos de traslado y alojamiento para asistir al evento. No obstante, el Festival podrá facilitar cartas de apoyo para gestionar los recursos necesarios ante las instituciones que favorezcan la asistencia de los seleccionados.
6.7 For the finalists, the Festival will not cover transportation and/or accommodation costs to attend the event. However, the Festival may provide letters of support to manage the necessary resources before institutions that favor the assistance of those finalists.
6.8 El festival no abonará por el derecho de exhibición (screening fee) de las obras seleccionadas. A su vez, el Festival garantiza que todas las funciones tengan entrada libre y gratuita para el público.
6.8 The Festival will not pay for the right of exhibition (screening fee) of the final artwork selected.
In turn, the festival guarantees that all functions have free admission for the public.
7. AUTORIZACIÓN VOLUNTARIA A PARTICIPAR EN MUESTRA ITINERANTE
7. VOLUNTARY AUTHORIZATION TO PARTICIPATE IN ITINERANT SAMPLE
7.1 BITBANG realiza actividades gratuitas de exhibición de animación, videojuegos y arte digital durante el año. Los participantes que inscriban sus obras también aceptan, salvo expresa negativa, su exhibición en muestras itinerantes del Festival, ciclos de cine, etc. Estas actividades siempre serán de carácter gratuito y responden sólo a fines de difusión y promoción del cine de animación y el arte digital.
7.1 BITBANG performs free activities of exhibition of animation, videogames and digital art during the year. The participants who register their artwork also accepts, except declared the contrary, their exhibition in traveling exhibitions of the Festival, Film Cycles, etc. These activities will always be free and respond only to dissemination and promotion of animated films and digital art.
8. La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación total del presente reglamento. El Festival resolverá según su juicio y en carácter inapelable, cualquier eventualidad no especificada en estas bases.
8. Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of this regulation. The Festival will resolve according to its judgement and in an unappealable character, any eventuality not specified in these bases.
