Beyaz Güvercin

Filistinli bir çocuk olan İbrahim, savaşın gölgesinde umutla babasına mektuplar yazar. Bir beyaz güvercin, onun tek umudu olur. Ancak savaş, kayıplar ve zorunlu göç, İbrahim’in hayatını derinden değiştirir. Yıllar sonra Filistin’e bir öğretmen olarak döndüğünde, onu bekleyen sessiz bir tanık vardır: beyaz güvercin.

Ibrahim, a Palestinian child, writes letters to his father with hope under the shadow of war. A white dove becomes his only source of hope. However, the war, losses, and forced migration deeply alter Ibrahim's life. Years later, when he returns to Palestine as a teacher, a silent witness awaits him: the white dove.

Berkay Ellek, Hasan Kalyoncu Üniversitesi Görsel İletişim Tasarımı bölümünde öğrenim gördüğü yıllarda birçok kısa film ve belgeselin kurgusunu ve afiş tasarımını üstlenmiştir. 2024 yılında tamamen yapay zeka ile ürettiği kısa filmi Beyaz Güvercin ile dikkatleri üzerine çekmiştir. Film; 9. Altın Baklava Film Festivali, Türkiye Uluslararası Yapay Zekâ Film Festivali ve MÜSİAD Altın Çark Film Festivali’nde birincilik ödülüne layık görülmüş; Fenerbahçe Üniversitesi Ulusal Kısa Film Festivali’nde “En İyi Yapay Zeka Filmi” ödülünü kazanmıştır. Ayrıca PASO XXV Kısa Film Festivali'nin ve İzmir Katip Çelebi Üniversitesi Ulusal Kısa Film Festivali’nin resmi seçkisine dahil edilmiş; İzmir’de Jüri Özel Ödülü ile onurlandırılmıştır. Uluslararası alanda da başarılarını sürdüren Beyaz Güvercin, İtalya’daki Med-Limes Film Festivali’nde “Akdeniz Sınırları Ötesi” seçkisinde yer alan dört filmden biri olarak seçilmiş, İran’daki Sobh Uluslararası Medya Festivali’nde “Filistin Özel Seçkisi”ne dahil edilmiştir. Ayrıca Neuro Film Festival (Rusya) ve AI Film Awards (Dubai) gibi festivallerin resmi seçkisine girmeyi başarmıştır. Yapay zeka ve sinemayı yaratıcı biçimde bir araya getiren Ellek, ulusal ve uluslararası alanda iz bırakan işleriyle yapay zeka sineması alanında öne çıkan genç yönetmenler arasında yer almaktadır.

Berkay Ellek is a Turkish director and visual communication designer. During his studies in Visual Communication Design at Hasan Kalyoncu University, he worked on the editing and poster design of numerous short films and documentaries. In 2024, he gained significant attention with his short film White Dove, created entirely using artificial intelligence. The film won first prize at the 9th Golden Baklava Film Festival, the Turkey International AI Film Festival, and the MUSIAD Altın Çark Film Festival. It also received the “Best AI Film” award at the Fenerbahçe University National Short Film Festival and was officially selected for the PASO XXV Short Film Festival and the İzmir Katip Çelebi University National Short Film Festival, where it was honored with the Jury Special Prize. On the international stage, White Dove continued its success by being one of four films selected for the “Across Mediterranean Borders” section at the Med-Limes Film Festival in Italy and included in the “Palestine Special Selection” at the Sobh International Media Festival in Iran. It was also officially selected for the Neuro Film Festival (Russia) and the AI Film Awards (Dubai). Combining artificial intelligence and cinema in a creative way, Ellek stands out as a rising young director in the field of AI cinema with works that leave a lasting impression both nationally and internationally.

Bu film, bir çocuğun gözünden savaşın yıkıcı etkilerini ve umuda tutunma çabasını anlatıyor. İbrahim’in hikayesi, yalnızca Filistin’de değil, dünyanın pek çok yerinde yaşanan insanlık dramlarının bir yansımasıdır. Amacım, izleyiciyi bir yolculuğa çıkararak savaşın insani boyutunu hissettirmek ve barışı umut etmenin ne kadar değerli olduğunu vurgulamaktır. Bu film, umudun en karanlık anlarda bile var olabileceğini hatırlatmayı amaçlıyor.

Filmin ses efektlerinden, görüntülerine kadar tamamen yapay faydalandım; ancak gelişmekte olan bu teknolojinin kullanımında bazı ufak tefek hataların olabileceğini belirtmek isterim.

This film portrays the devastating impacts of war and the struggle to hold onto hope through the eyes of a child. Ibrahim’s story serves as a reflection of the human tragedies not only in Palestine but also in many parts of the world. My goal is to take the audience on a journey, helping them feel the human dimension of war and emphasizing how precious it is to hope for peace. This film seeks to remind us that hope can exist even in the darkest moments.
