Synopsis: Two young men rotting in drugs and inactivity, two worried men trying to achieve compromise with a stubborn cult figure old woman, a terrified mother and two twisted baboons conclude the cores that unwillingly, yet harmonically, constitute an everyday comedic struggle.

Logline: "Benigni exaggerated" is a black comedy drama which emphasizes the only controversial aspect of Benigni’s peak «La vita e bella», which is the fact that it makes you cry both in childhood, as well as in adulthood.

Director Biography - Michalis Langas


My name is Michalis Langas and I originate from Lamia, Greece. I am a film writer/director based in London, UK. I am also a Dentist with a special interest in Dental Implantology. Cinema helps me sleep. Dentistry pays the rent for a place to sleep in.

The passion with storytelling existed from a young age. I always believed that structure is the foundation in life and aesthetics is nothing more but an element to highlight that.

This belief changed when I first felt that aesthetics can also create structure.

My style is black comedy / art drama.
