Antonio Llapur
Antonio Llapur is a Latinx filmmaker, writer, and actor from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the director of the multiple-award-winning independent feature SPACE DETECTIVE and the shorts, @livingb3n, and Joker Does Shakespeare! Antonio also co-founded the indie film studio Swamp Media Group with creative partner, writer/producer/actor Matt Sjafiroeddin.
Antonio began his career two decades ago as the nightlife/music columnist Digital Tony for Las Vegas Weekly. As an actor, Antonio performed in the Las Vegas productions Marriage Can Be Murder and Eli Roth’s Goretorium. He’s co-starred in SPACE DETECTIVE as the villainous Mr. Black and in @livingb3n as internet conspiracy theorist Real Deal Mike.
Recently, Antonio returned to school to complete his BFA in Film from UNLV. He continued to study directing and screenwriting with Francisco Menendez, screenwriting with Sean Clark, and Acting with Clarence Gilyard and received his diploma in May 2022.
Antonio and Swamp Media Group are beginning @livinb3n’s festival run and are wrapping up production on their latest short, GIN. GIN follows a dangerous man wandering the desert, carrying a rather talkative box that wants to be opened. Work on the Swamp’s visually striking, irreverent second feature film begins in 2025
