Director Biography - Pedro Flores Maldonado, Lourdes Alzate

In 2007 he graduated in Performing Arts from the Instituto Superior Artes, in Havana, Cuba. Since then, he has continued his training in the audiovisual area at the Center for Cinematographic Research (CIC) and at the Union of the Argentine Film Industry (SICA). In 2018 she participated in intensive studies of “Script, casting and direction with the boys in the center” and “The day that I became strong. Resilience as a driver ”, dictated by Jan-Willem Bult (Holland) and Dr. Maya Götz (Germany) respectively.

He has distinguished himself for his work in different audiovisual formats, music videos, experimental, advertising, television and cinema. In 2010 he founded the Wallaz production company. That year he wrote and directed the web series El202, recognized in Peru as the first professional web series in the country. In 2012 he developed the experimental video Corpus, presented at the Festival Gothenburg Danceand Theater 2012, Festival Agita y Sirva 2012, Festival DanceWEB Marathon / Impuls Tanz (Vienna, Austria). Also noteworthy is her writing of the script and the direction of the television series Relatos para no Dormir, nominated for best production 2016 Lights Award, Peru.

In recent years he has directed more than 30 music videos, made for artistic groups from Argentina, Peru and Uruguay. In 2018 he was part of the jury of the international children's TV festival Prix Jeunesse International, in Münich, Germany. At the beginning of 2020 he premiered, in all theaters in Peru, "Sí, mi amor" his first feature film. This film got almost 700 thousand viewers in its seven weeks on the billboard. In May of this year it was released for the whole world on the Netflix platform, translated into several languages.
