Director Statement

Apophis started as an idea for a feature film. The main story was about a man who decides to stay in an abandoned city which is close to a massive asteroid impact. His encounter with a rescuer leads them to discuss the very nature of surviving, life and death. The movie was supposed to be at least 70 minutes with a lot more side characters and stories.
As I was working on my final BA project, I decided to shot a shorter version of what I had in mind. Apophis is now a 13-minute long film that has an essence of the main story and takes place in the same space with the same main characters.
