Antonia Bello is a visual artist and audiovisual creator with an emphasis on animation and collective creation with communities, making a fusion between experimental animation and documentary. The artist works with plastic and narrative experimentation in the audiovisual, exploring materials and non-traditional ways of telling stories. Antonia has worked on several collective creation projects such as the project Mi historia, in conjunction with the Truth Commission in Colombia and the University of Leeds in the UK. She also worked with the Arhuaca community of Kutunsama in Santa Marta, Colombia, on a documentary project about the IKU language. In his most recent work, he made an animated short film with children from the Puerto Rico neighborhood in Bogota, exploring the power of children's drawing. His work has been recognized at various university film festivals such as the Equinoxio film and audiovisual festival, the CineToro experimental film festival, the Polo Sur festival in Chile and the Rising of Lusitania festival in Poland.
