Afrasayyab Gondal and Abdullah Tahir are passionate filmmakers who co-directed and co-produced the film A New Dawn. Afrasayyab, the writer and director, is a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Film and TV. With a keen eye for storytelling, he blends emotional depth with cinematic vision, aiming to explore diverse narratives that resonate with audiences. Abdullah, also a recent graduate in Film and TV, brings a unique perspective and technical skill to their collaborative efforts. His dedication to creative partnerships enhances their projects, allowing them to craft films that provoke thought and inspire. Together, Afrasayyab and Abdullah are excited to continue their filmmaking journeys, eager to push boundaries and share impactful stories with the world.

Director Statement

In the year 2029, the world has collapsed under the weight of a relentless zombie apocalypse. In the heart of a decimated city, a group of survivors clings to life inside an Imam Bargah, battling hunger, fear, and hopelessness. Their fate changes when they discover Haider, a wounded stranger with a mysterious aura, during a supply run. Unbeknownst to them, Haider is destined to be their savior. As a colossal zombie horde, one hundred thousand strong, advances toward their city, Haider learns of a temporary refugee camp 250 kilometers away, set up by Iran and scheduled to vanish in just 24 hours. With no time to lose, he leads the desperate group, including women, children, and a small band of fighters, on a dangerous journey through infested lands. But when they find themselves trapped between two hordes, Haider must make an unthinkable choice to give humanity one final chance at survival.
