Director Statement

Aesop is an exploration of the human psyche, mental illness, and the connections of these to substance abuse. It tells the tragic story of a young man trapped within this volatile triangle.
Completed in just under 48 hours, from pre-production to final rendering, this film serves as a strong indicator of the talent that is growing in the South African art house film scene, recently popularized among a new generation of upcoming filmmakers in the country.
