THE SOUND
Mr. Shishir, an honest office worker, decides to take a shortcut to work following his boss's advice. On his first attempt, he mistakenly ends up in an area where prostitutes are active early in the morning. Among them, Tanin Subha, a determined prostitute, spots Shishir and seizes the opportunity to attract him into her brothel. Despite his protests, claiming he is not that type of person, the seductive sounds.
However, Mr. Shishir, determined to leave, manages to escape by offering them money, though the leader of the group reminds him they are not beggars but workers earning a living. Finally arriving at the office late, Shishir explains the odd interaction to his boss, who shares a philosophical perspective. The boss suggests that in this world, everyone survives by using sound, whether openly or silently.
In a twist, it’s revealed that the seemingly moral boss is secretly exploiting his personal secretary. This silent "sound" of hypocrisy ties back to the film's core theme: sound signifies life and survival, and everyone, knowingly or unknowingly, uses it to navigate their existence.
The film explores the presence and importance of sound, suggesting that every action is accompanied by a sound, symbolizing existence. It delves into the life of a sex worker, illustrating how sound becomes a significant aspect of her livelihood and interactions. Through this lens, the film raises questions about truth, morality, and the societal status of women, leaving the audience to reflect, debate, and challenge conventional perspectives
