Director Statement

As I followed Rachid Zaid’s work on social media, I became captivated by the evolution of his art and the way his pieces seemed to grow, not only in size but in spirit. What began as simple blacksmithing gradually transformed into a profound artistic expression, where recycled metal carried the weight of memory, music, and meaning.
I wanted to make a film about this journey: both physical and metaphysical and to explore how craftsmanship becomes art, and how an artist reinvents himself through fire, resilience, and imagination. Rachid’s story is not only about transformation in his work, but also about the human capacity to create beauty out of challenge and change.
