"Yo y Sho"
A young Argentine woman living in Miami is going through an identity crisis. She hopes to follow the steps of her late mother and become a famous actress, but the US Hispanic entertainment industry’s stigma against non-Mexican Spanish accents prevents her from getting booked for gigs as a host for television programs. She masks her nationality but soon realizes she can’t escape the pride she holds for her country. Passions cannot be held back in this light-hearted comedy.

Argentinean-American actor, host, journalist and soccer lover. Born in Buenos Aires, but raised in Miami Mariela Irala is a bilingual actor, Web/TV host and content creator with a BAS in Film, TV and Digital Production Technology. With over 10+ years of on-camera experience in the US and in Argentina, she has covered broadcast journalism, digital series, prime time TV and major events. Crazy about her roots, she wishes to tell the stories of those around her and showcase the beauty of diversity through her films.
Miami has a lot of stories yet to be told. Based on my personal experiences as an actress, this film will reveal a prejudice of the entertainment industries you had probably never noticed before. Showcasing all of these Miami characters, their struggles and everyday relationships can teach the world a thing or two about co-existing no matter where you are from.
