Lucky Meisenheimer is a physician, Guinness World Record holder, champion open water swimmer, award-winning author and filmmaker.
He is best known for his two books, "Lucky's Collectors Guide to 20th Century Yo-Yos," which is in the Smithsonian Institution, and his critically acclaimed science fiction novel "The Immune," which was the winner of the 2012 international book award for science fiction.
A member of the Screen Actors Guild and writer/director on many films, he has made multiple television appearances, including nationally syndicated shows such as, The Martha Stewart Show, CBS Evening News, Real People, PM Magazine, What Would You Do, Americas Health Network, Treasures in your Home, Nickelodeon Sports and Games, Ultimate Collector, Weird Homes, National Lampoons Comedy Night School, "Extreme Collectors", "Guinness World Records Live", Let's Ask America, Growing Bolder Television and「開運・なんでも鑑定団.
He appeared in the movie "National Lampoon's RoboDoc," and he also wrote and directed the featurette film "National Lampoon's Robodoc Dissected…The making of Robodoc," released on the "National Lampoons RoboDoc" DVD.
An eclectic individual, Lucky has been in Ripley's Believe It or Not for swimming a half-mile with his foot in his mouth, holds the RHR world record for ear wiggling, and currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest yo-yo collection. He has multiple publications ranging in such diverse magazines from Annals of Emergency Medicine to Fiend Magazine. A former champion swimmer Lucky has been a past Masters National Champion and world record holder. He is also a Level 5 certified swimming coach and has coached the Orange County Special Olympics swim team, one of the largest special Olympics swimming programs globally since 1993. He hosts a nationally recognized daily open water lake swim, "Lucky's Lake Swim," which has thousands of participants from around the world.
