Yesterday, Today and Forever!
DCP Available"Yesterday, Today and Forever!" is an intimate documentary in which director Caique Souza films his own parents without their knowledge of the true purpose of the filming.

I transitioned from a background in software development into the worlds of filmmaking and photography, a path that has grown stronger each year. As a filmmaker, I wrote and directed the short films Meus Demônios and Looping, the latter officially selected at the Festival do Minuto and the First-Time Filmmaker Online Sessions. In photography, I gained recognition with the project Essay on the Pandemic, awarded Bronze at the 3rd Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival (Japan) and ranked among the Top 400 Great Photographers of Brazil and the Top 50 Best Photos of São Paulo at the 6th 35AWARDS. Today, I work as an independent filmmaker and photographer, as well as a senior audiovisual producer at ESA – OAB SP, always pursuing narratives that combine strong visual impact with cultural relevance.

Yesterday, Today and Always! was born from the urge to preserve memories before they faded. It is a film about roots, belonging, and transformation — but also about how time shapes who we are. By revisiting the stories of my own family and community, I discovered not only personal recollections but also universal echoes of struggle, affection, and resilience.
Directing this documentary was an act of listening and surrender: listening to the past, observing the present, and imagining the future. I believe documentary cinema holds this unique power — to turn ordinary lives into extraordinary narratives, capable of resonating with audiences far beyond the screen. Above all, this film is an invitation to memory and to dialogue between generations.
