Artist Biography

Yasmeena (aka Jazmine Datcher) is an aspiring and accomplished young singer and performer with a proud African American Palestinian Israeli Heritage.

Yasmeena has dedicated her life to music since childhood, where she attended Oakland School for the Arts, Oakland, California with daily focus on Vocal music. During her middle and high school years, Yasmeena mastered music theory, site reading, stage performance training and song writing. After graduating from Oakland school for the Arts, Yasmeena decided to pursue her passion for music by attending San Francisco State University with a music major.

When asked about the music genre she prefers, Yasmeena answers with a sigh, “it’s hard to pick one but for sure R&B, Hip hop and Trap Soul are my top choices”.

Yasmeena has performed nationally and abroad with the well renowned vocal Acapella group; Vocal Rush. Her “Summer Time” performance, during a Tony Toni Tone! holiday special, left the audience in aw! As special guest per request of D'Wayne Wiggins of the Tony Toni Tone! Yasmeena performed her new single debut, a remake of the Barbara Mason song 'Yes, I'm Ready' at the July 2018 'Taste of Oakland' Festival. By popular demand the Producers of the event have invited her back to perform for the August 2018 'Taste of Oakland' Festival.

Yasmeena’s recording accomplishments include six solo originals, few cover songs with some reaching over 28,000 views and a starring role in the high school hit records youth program.

Yasmeena is the featured artist on the new single 'Yes, I'm Ready' a remake of the Barbara Mason hit song produced/arranged by James Gardiner aka Jim Gardiner, Pajama Studios / Touch-Tone Productions, featured on the 'We Got Next II' album compilation released July 2018 by Indie record label Kulturezine Media Interactive, LLC.
