YA DHEKER
The song “Dheker” tells the story of a young man living under constant stress and confusion in his neighborhood, where the “game” becomes a symbol for weed and the pressures surrounding him. Amid the night, friends, and attempts to manage his losses, his chaos escalates and control slips away step by step. In the end, the authority in the house intervenes through his father, revealing the contrast between guidance and action, leaving Dhaker without “controllers” symbolizing the loss of control and innocence within a harsh social reality.Screener

Hazem Marweni is a Tunisian animation director and motion designer known for his dynamic storytelling and distinctive visual style. With a background in graphic design and years of experience in animation, Hazem brings authentic narratives to life through expressive characters and innovative animation techniques. His work often explores themes of urban culture, youth experiences, and social realities, blending humor with emotional depth.
My work in animation is driven by a desire to capture the pulse of contemporary life its rhythms, tensions, and unexpected moments of humor. I am fascinated by the stories of urban youth and the social realities that shape their experiences. Through expressive characters, bold visual language, and innovative animation techniques, I aim to create narratives that feel both authentic and emotionally resonant.
For me, animation is not just a medium for storytelling it is a space to experiment, to push boundaries, and to give voice to experiences often overlooked. I strive to balance humor and poignancy, crafting worlds that are visually striking while inviting the audience to reflect on the human stories within them.
Every project is an exploration: of culture, of society, and of the ways in which we connect with one another. My goal is to leave viewers entertained, moved, and thinking, long after the credits roll.
