Misreading

A young man approaches a celebrated author with a simple request: would she write a message for his mother, who is going through a difficult time and deeply admires her work.
What begins as an innocent encounter quickly spirals into a sharp, unpredictable exchange, as the author ruthlessly dismisses her own novel—and everything she’s written since.

As the conversation escalates, the balance of power begins to shift. The young man clings to his admiration but gradually challenges her, blurring the line between sincerity and provocation.
A darkly humorous, dialogue-driven story about art, criticism, and the fragile need for recognition.
