Director Biography - Saad Ahmed

Saad Ahmed is a filmmaker based in Bedford, UK. During his Masters in Film and Television, his short film The Mind Battle was selected at the O-Region 60-second rough-cut challenge of 2021.
His recent film "Would you like Fries with that?" is an outlandish short action film that takes place in the mind of a man dealing with fast food cravings. It stars Tom Nguyen, from the huge upcoming film The Marvels. Rising star Maharlika, who is in the award-winning short Ascendants. As well, as voice acting by YouTube sensation and actor Joe "Dr Bonehead" Goffeney, Mafia City (70k subscribers on YouTube).

Saad is now planning his next 2 projects which are more conventional than his previous work, a short contained thriller, as well as a concept trailer for a feature-length film.

Fun facts: Saad works in Digital Marketing by day, played county Table tennis.

Director Statement

"Would you like fries with that?" plays into the inner conflict within myself when faced with temptations. At the same time I was trying to bring the humour and absurdity of the situation. The goal being to elevate a mundane dilemma into an eternal war between good and evil. I hope audiences appreciate it's melodramatic and experimental nature and ultimately find the movie relatable!
