In 2023 she was presented the “Rising Star” award from the Jacksonville Film & Television office. In 2024 she was awarded the “Gold American Citizenship Award” and the “Gold President's Volunteer Service Award” for her community focus during her freshman year of high school.
This film was inspired by my friendship with Trey Murphy, who I’ve known for 7 years. A lot of times when we hang out he asks me “Would You Rather” questions as a game. While the rest of the story is not based on our real lives, I wanted to focus on teens and the challenges that some face every day. Child abuse is a horrific issue that affects one in every four youth and can severely impact their mental health. A lot of prep went into filming including creating the shot list, figuring out locations, deciding on wardrobe, and planning crafty, which helped the two day shoot run smoothly. This was my first time writing and directing a film, so I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge shared with me and the amazing team I got to be surrounded by throughout the whole process!
