Women of the World
Women of the World is a poem anthem dedicated to women's empowerment. It was written in response to Harvey Weinstein and the #metoo movement, as well as the endlessly devastating reports of domestic violence, murder of women, child abuse, and sex trafficking.

Diane Kaufman, MD is a poet, artist, child psychiatrist, humanism in medicine awardee who is dedicated to transforming trauma and despair into life affirming creativity. She is the founder/director of the Hold On Campaign for Suicide Prevention.
When Diane was in medical school she attempted suicide. Years later she was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder. Diane has experienced suicide loss: a family member, a teenage patient, an adult patient, and a friend who was her mental health colleague.
Diane's healing from trauma story, "Bird That Wants To Fly," inspired an opera composed by Michael Raphael, performed by Trilogy: An Opera Company, and narrated by actor Danny Glover.
Diane has presented internationally on Creativity and Suicide Prevention. Her co-creative songs inspired by her poetry on behalf of suicide prevention, "Don't Give Up," "Lift You Up," "Hold On," and "Holding The Heart When It Breaks'" have garnered international awards.
