Director Biography - Randy Schmidt

Raised in California, Randy Schmidt graduated from UCLA Film School and worked at the 20th Century Fox motion picture studio before moving to Tokyo. For 18 years, he worked as a staff TV cameraman-editor-producer for CBS News, covering all of Asia, including China and North Korea. Randy won an Emmy Award for his TV news work in 2022. He is now a screenwriter and filmmaker who has been making a series of award-winning stop-motion and AI short movies.
