Director Statement

From the moment I read this script I knew I wanted to be a part of this project! I could see Ophelia and Izzy in my head immediately and loved their oppositional sister dynamic existing alongside their deep love for each other. At the core of any great comedy is a relatable grounded reality and that is something we really wanted to weave throughout this project. As a native Angelino myself, stylistically I wanted it to feel like real Los Angeles. Los Angeles, both in real life and in this project, brings together so many transplants and I loved having the opportunity to weave the stories of all these different characters together. We created this project with an incredibly small crew, which meant that this was truly an all hands on deck, labor of love for all involved. I hope after watching these sisters you are laughing with them, a little at them, and definitely routing for them.
