Wimbledon Shorts is a BIFA Qualifying short film festival that champions bold and innovative voices in film-making from across the globe. With only a handful of films picked each year, our lineup is incredibly selective—highlighting only the most original and exceptional work.

You can find out further details about us and previous winners on our website here - https://wimbledonshorts.com/

Our Festival Screening and Awards Night will take place on 26th September 2026 at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.

We are also a BIFA Qualifying Film Festival.

*Note - All entries are automatically considered for all relevant and eligible categories, regardless of the specific category you enter your film into. You DO NOT need to submit your film to each category individually. ALL FILMS are also considered for either the 'Best UK Film" or "Best International Film" award*

Films must be under 15 minutes, including title sequences and credits. So make it short. You can have real impact in a few minutes or even seconds. Shorter films have the same chance of an award as longer ones.

Films must have been completed no earlier that 26 September 2024

You must enter your film as either a drama, documentary, fiction or animated film but it will be considered for all eligible prizes (see list under Categories). You'll be given the opportunity to explain your eligibility (London Filmmaker for example) later in the submission form.

Please note that the shortlist is drawn up to provide 2 hour Festival screening time with a balanced mixture of short and longer films.

Any film that has previously been screened at our Festival is ineligible.
