William Reliford is an award-winning visual effects artist and 3D animator. As a child growing up in Indiana, he was surrounded by creative siblings. William's own artistic journey started early, as he expressed his vivid imagination through pencil drawings.
Young William immersed himself in the world of sci-fi novels. He discovered that each word on the page was a frame of a film projected onto his mind's eye. His favorite science fiction authors – including Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and Philip K. Dick – played a significant role in shaping his creative perspective.

Cinema further fueled his passion. When his older brothers took him to the movies, William’s eyes opened to a world where imagination becomes indistinguishable from reality. His favorite science fiction universes include Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica.

William stepped behind the camera at the age of eight, when he picked up his father's 8mm camera. The young filmmaker honed his craft by building model spaceships and creating stop-motion characters by hand. Later, in college, he was naturally drawn to the radio/tv/film program.

After years of video production, William found his true calling where computer animation and visual effects seamlessly bridge the gap between imagination and reality. The freelancer developed expertise in visual storytelling, composition, lighting, editing and other essential aspects of the craft. The skills developed in these disciplines smoothly transitioned into visual effects and 3D animation production.
William is not only an accomplished visual effects artist but also a born problem solver. His love for chess reflects his strategic thinking and analytical acumen. Foresight and strategy ground both his client work and his passion projects.
With a keen interest in the intersection of computers, art, and film, William has carved a niche for himself in the industry. Today, he continues to create stunning visuals for a diverse clientele, ranging from indie filmmakers to engineering firms, law firms, and corporations. His repertoire showcases the breadth of his talent, including demonstrative evidence and forensic animation for law firms, educational animation, visual effects for indie films, animation for advertising and promotion, and architectural animation.
