Wille zur Macht
In "Wille zur Macht", Hegelian dialectic is used to artistically discuss the "will to power" concept of the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. The concept is considered to be the main driving force of the humanity.
A painter and two muses visually discuss the boundaries of Art, in terms of creative process. In the first part (Thesis), the painter destroys a canvas. By doing that, he affirms that Art can not be really controlled, i.e. when an artist creates, he can not fully control the creative process. In the Antithesis, the first muse negates the Thesis, by gently attaching a flower to a canvas. Finally, in the Synthesis, the conflict is resolved: an artistic creative process could be controlled only under certain circumstances, which are revealed by the second muse.

In this work I give an artistic interpretation of the "Will to Power" concept of the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
The aim was to try to understand the limits of Art, from a creative process point of view.
As I painter, sometimes I can not identify the boundaries of my creativity.
Is my mind that leads the creative process? or is Art itself (i.e. the inspiration) to dominate my brushes?
"I love him who seeks to create beyond himself, and thus perishes."
