Rhonda Deskins is a D.C. native and graduate of Florida A&M University whose storytelling centers the vibrant lives and voices of Black communities. A writer and director, Rhonda has created two mini web series and a short film, and was a staff writer on a comedy web series officially selected for the American Black Film Festival. Her screenplays have earned honors from top competitions, including Urbanworld, the Austin Film Festival, the Nicholl Fellowship, and most recently, the 2025 Essence Film Festival.
