In this cheeky throwback music video, created by Michelle Cameron, Lee Taylor performs her title track “Wild Woman” as she plays the role of various familiar characters. A campy commentary on the way women are portrayed in the media, the video pokes fun at gender stereotypes while celebrating all kinds of wild women.

Michelle is an award winning feature film, music video and commercial director. Her most recent work includes writing and directing a branded content series for L'Oréal Paris as well as directing music videos for the Resistance Revival Chorus for two tracks off of their debut compilation album - This Joy. Her documentary feature film, THE PIANO: AN ODYSSEY, won Best Feature Film at the 2014 Burbank International Film Festival.
Michelle first got her start in the world of moving images as a music video, commercial and independent feature film producer. Her credits as a producer include Yoko Ono’s “Bad Dancer,” Paramore’s “Ain’t It Fun”, multiple videos for Grammy-winning artists The National. Michelle also produced the critically acclaimed, 2018 Sundance Award Winning film NANCY — starring Andrea Riseborough, Steve Buscemi, J. Smith-Cameron, John Leguizamo and Ann Dowd — nominated for 2 Film Independent Spirit Awards.Her award winning commercial work includes branded original content, ads and promos for L’Oréal Paris, Lifetime, Instagram, Google, Cartier, Visa, NFL, A&E, AMC and BET. Through her work Michelle advocates for social change behind the scenes and in front of the camera - combining her love of storytelling and imagination with her passion for creating empathy through art.
This video is a celebration of all types of "wild women" -- a cheeky commentary on gender stereotypes and the roles we're told we can, and cannot, play. With a team of three (myself, Lee Taylor & producer Yuki Ledbetter) we made this video mid-COVID on a shoestring budget. I filmed it myself entirely on my iPhone.
