Director Statement

Artistic Statement from High Dive:

"The artist's life is one of extreme ups and downs. Joy and sadness. Poverty and wealth. Fame and obscurity. If you stay on this path, it's not without its struggles. Our longtime friend Leigh Jones (lots of Joneses on this project) has written a song that fully encapsulates these experiences. For us, we wanted to create a narrative that spoke to these feelings, and the right visuals that can really let the viewer into Eugenia Riot's heart, into her Wild Dream."

Also, the story behind the production is a kind of wild dream. Darryl and Leigh grew up as kids in Wilmington performing in community theater, attending high school and ultimately attending prom together.

Returning home to Wilmington (both Leigh and Darryl live elsewhere now) to shoot this video together was a heart-warming homecoming, as the community really came together to help make the one-day production happen. It's what dreams are made of!
