WHY DINOSAURS?
From prestigious museums and universities, to blockbuster films, amusement park rides, video games, and toys--dinosaurs have always fascinated us. But, why?
WHY DINOSAURS follows dino-obsessed youth James Pinto and his filmmaker father on a journey around the world, interviewing world renowned paleontologists about the latest dinosaur research, digging up real dinosaur bones, and encountering dinosaur fanatics of all walks of life.

Tony and James Pinto are a father and son who co-wrote, directed, and edited their first feature documentary together. Tony, an accomplished corporate video producer, was also the primary cinematographer and sound mixer, and James, a graduate student at the University of Southern California, was the teenaged protagonist and narrator. They've been invited to screen the film at Natural History Museums and Universities around the world, including the Smithsonian!
This film has been a dream come true for two first-time filmmakers, especially being able to spend time traveling and working together before James left for college. WHY DINOSAURS is a timeless story that will hopefully inspire girls and boys around the world to pursue science in a variety of disciplines--not just Paleontology--as well as boost attendance at natural history museums for decades to come.
