Federico Forlani was born and raised in Rome, Italy. He started shooting short films by the age of 12, and has worked on music videos since he was 16yo. In 2021, he debuted with a thriller short film, "Victims", selected at Florida Shorts and First Time Filmmaker Sessions of Lift-Off Global Network. In 2022, Federico worked as a camera trainee and 2nd Assistant Camera for the production of "Non ci resta che il crimine - la serie". In 2024 he graduated in Film, Television, and New Media at University Roma Tre, with a dissertation on Tsukamoto Shin'ya's "Tetsuo: the iron man" (1989).
His super short film "What's that white thing, daddy?" (2024) won the award for Best Mystery/Thriller/Suspense International at the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto.
