Director Statement

A collaboration between an amazing group of young people from culturally diverse backgrounds and artist/film-maker Laura Alice.

Over a series of creative sessions, the group met to paint, draw, ask questions and have deep discussions - exploring ways to talk about mental health in a holistic, human and culturally accessible way.

The end result pairs the paintings and writings of the young people with the hand-drawn overlays of Laura Alice, edited and animated into this beautiful and soulful educational film about what it means to look after your mental health.

Translated into 6 languages, the film aims to find bridges and connections to talk about mental health in many different settings and cultures.
