Director Statement

I had the tremendous good fortune to be in fourth grade class with Brandon Briggs, aka the Grand incredible Dj BrandNew, and I was so honored when he reached out and entrusted me with helping share his story with the world.

We began filming in 2018, and over the next several years I hopped buses back and forth to follow Brandon. Brandon's long battle with sarcoma cancer ended with his passing in 2021, and it has been humbling and heart breaking to complete this journey without him.

As Brandon's friend and filmmaker it is my greatest hope that I have done his Grand Incredible Story the justice it so deserves and that this film will lift up his legacy, his beautiful family that mourn his passing, and that it will shine a well deserved spotlight on the Grand Incredible community of Elmira NY.
