What Wouldn't I Give for the Memory

The sulfur workers of Mina La Casualidad were thrown out of their village by the military goverment 40 years ago when the mine was closed. They return there every year, hoping for it to become an open-air museum. Even if they don’t inhabit it, the village is theirs now more than ever, because they're the only ones who did not forget it; because there they were happy; because there were left their childhoods and their loved ones.

Director Biography - Tino Pereira

Tino Pereira (Argentina) is a documentary film-maker, history teacher and film critic. He directed the short documentary film "What Wouldn't I Give for the Memory" (2018) wich received 10 awards and 15 official selectiones in festivals all over the world; co-directed “This is La Boca vs. Plushterciopelo World” (2020), screened at Cine.ar. He’s finished the feature documentary “What Wouldn’t I Give for the Memory” (2022).
